Illogical elements arrangement
All template elements should be logically and harmoniously placed. Try to arrange the elements in a way that visually complements each other, creating a cohesive meaning.
Bad alignments and grids in composition
The template should be designed using a grid to create an orderly and balanced composition, enhancing both visual appeal and ease of information perception. Try aligning the elements and create a visual hierarchy within the template.
Outdated design
The design should look modern. Try using trendy color palettes, fonts, and contemporary design techniques to make your template appear current.
Wrong accent, priority, and balance in composition
When creating a template, it's important to correctly set accents and ensure balance in the composition. Try to clearly prioritize the visual arrangement of graphic and text elements (headline, subheadline, and main text) for better visual perception.
Elements of composition are not consistent stylistically
Template elements should be stylistically coordinated. Try selecting elements that harmonize with each other. Draw inspiration from examples in our library or collections.
Unfinished template composition, few objects used
The composition needs to be complete and whole. When choosing elements for your design project, select each with care. Ensure the overall composition looks neither cluttered nor incomplete.
Bad color combination / too many colors
A proper combination of colors creates a sense of balance and harmony. Limit the palette to 1-3 primary colors and 1-4 shades of each color to create a balanced composition.
Incorrect spacing between elements
The spacing between elements should be adequate and balanced. Try making the spacing smaller between related elements and larger between unrelated ones.
Incorrect fields / non-compliance with the format’s safe zone
Each platform has its own requirements for the safe zone. Try not to place important composition elements close to the edges of the artboard / leave more free space around the edges of the artboard. Draw inspiration from real creative examples for the platforms for which you are creating the template (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
The concept is good, but the design needs major improvements
The design should be not only attractive but also functional. Review the composition considering clutter, incompleteness, balance, alignment, priority, and style. Remember, we are creating a template, not a finished design, so it should be primarily flexible and easy to use.
Photo/video/object contains effects/unnatural processing
Photos/videos should be free of effects/unnatural processing. Images with applied filters, noise, and unnatural color correction are not allowed. Try replacing it.
Photo/video/object contains multiple exposures, collages, etc.
Photos/videos should demonstrate a single motif (collages, multiple exposures, etc. are prohibited). Try replacing it.
Photo/video/object contains textual/graphic elements
The use of images with text or additional graphic elements is prohibited. Choose a clean image without additional elements for the template.
Bad photo/video cropping
The photo/video should contain a clear and attractive image of an object, person, or action. Try replacing the photo or cropping it so that the object/person/action is understandable and centered in the composition.
Poorly selected photo/video/object
The chosen visual content must logically fit into the theme and concept of the template. Select a photo/video/object that complements and enhances the concept of the template.
Disproportionate stretching of photo/video/object
Disproportionate stretching of objects, photos, or videos is prohibited. Correct or replace the content so that it looks natural and is not distorted.
Photo/video/object does not match the template theme
Visual content must match the theme of the template and be consistent with the textual part. Ensure that the chosen visual content is suitable for the overall concept of the template.
Photo/video not placed into a mask
All photos and videos must be correctly inserted into masks (except for photos with a cut-out background). Insert the visual content into masks to make it easier for the user to replace it in the template.
